Based in Casablanca, Al Mada is one of the largest private equity funds on the pan-African scene. With its strong continental roots, it is determined to participate in the dynamics of South-South cooperation by making impact investments on a pan-African scale.

Governance

The strategic and operational management of the Al Mada Fund is ensured by 5 governance bodies: 

  • A Board of Directors made up of 12 qualified figures from the business world, which meets twice a year. 
  • Four specialized committees set up by the Board of Directors, whose members bring specific expertise and experience: 


  • A Strategic Committee made up of five members of the Board of Directors, which sets the strategic guidelines and gives its opinion on investments in the light of the overall objective of sustainable positive impact, which guides Al Mada's decisions. 
  • An Audit Committee, which gives an opinion on the Group's accounts and financial position before they are approved by the Board of Directors. 
  • An Appointments & Remuneration Committee, which gives its opinion on the appointment of all corporate officers 
  • An ESG Committee, which coordinates the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of the Al Mada Foundation, with a focus on art and culture, education, entrepreneurship and the environment.
