Scope

From the outset, Al Mada has invested in projects designed to structure the Moroccan economy and, in broader terms, the African economy, acting as catalysts for economic and social progress. It has never ceased to promote sustainable, shared growth, nationally and ultimately across Africa.

We call this growth ‘positive development’ - a broader dimension than just ‘sustainable development’, which refers exclusively to ecological aspects.

For Al Mada, development is ‘positive’ if it is both ecologically and socially sustainable.

Our signature, Positive Impact, expresses our commitment to making our mark in an inclusive, long-term dynamic.

Wherever we decide to invest, we strive to meet this dual objective of business: to create wealth and to contribute to the common good by strengthening the social fabric sustainably and with respect for human dignity and nature. This is our responsibility.

At Al Mada, ESG criteria are therefore integrated into the in-depth strategy of our holdings, with measured progress based on an overall performance, including social and environmental aspects as well as the economic dimension.

We want this model to spread throughout Africa and become the hallmark of an African economic approach.

Positive Impact is thus written into our DNA. It conveys our sense of social responsibility and the beneficial impact of our actions in the long term.

The name of Al Mada itself is a reflection of this commitment.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is at the core of our performance evaluation. The fund drives and supports the commitment of its holdings via its ESG/Patronage Committee. Customized action plans are drawn up jointly with the holdings to set objectives and programs in line with their specific characteristics.
